Mrs. Rachel Armstrong
Clinical Mental Health Counselor | MA
Rachel Armstrong has her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and has worked in the mental health field for four years. She specializes in creating a welcoming environment for both teenagers and adults and has experience working with a wide variety of concerns including anxiety, panic attacks, depression and other mood disorders, relationship issues, and life transitions. Rachel uses evidence-based strategies from multiple therapeutic theories to create an integrative approach for the individual challenges that are unique to each person.
Rachel earned her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Judson University where she also received her bachelor's degree in applied psychology. She has worked in a behavioral health center for three years facilitating psychoeducational groups as well as providing individual and group therapy sessions to a diverse population.
Rachel believes that therapy should be a supplement to your life and not a separate space, that the work you do in session will have impacts on your everyday life. At your request, Rachel is glad to incorporate a Christian perspective if desired.
Outside of therapy, Rachel loves spending time with her friends, family, and dog. She’s a big fan of exploring and hiking but also loves a good board game or movie night. She loves serving at her church and is genuinely glad you are seeking your next step in growth.
